Michael Savage believes the United States faces two great ideological threats. The first is external in the form of Islamofascism and the second is internal in the form of Liberalism. Both are ideologies of hate that seek to destroy what is best about American civilization: its political and religious freedom, its respect for the individual and his or her entrepreneurial initiative, and its economic system, which has that has generated more prosperity than any other the world has ever known.

According to Savage, though liberals appear less of an obvious threat than Islamic militants, their aims are just as insidious. Whether it is through the straightjacket of political correctness or by applying the corrosive acid of condescension, liberals are like termites eating away at the moral structures of society when they promote a radical agenda that includes gay marriage and the sanctioning of sexual perversions. Worse still, most liberals fail to recognize the threat of Islamofascism, promulgating a blame-America-first attitude that if taken to its logical extreme would amount to national suicide. As such, Liberalism amounts to a mental disorder, a pathological way of thinking that leads to self-destructive patterns of behavior.
