About the Author
Bill Cosby is one of the most popular entertainers of the last half century. Rising from a poor neighborhood in Philadelphia, Cosby became an American icon in TV series like I Spy and The Cosby Show. He is the author ofnumerous books, including Fatherhood, which became the fastest-selling hardcover of all time, spending 54 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.
Alvin F. Poussaint, M.D. is a leading psychiatrist and a veteran of the civil rights movement. He is currently a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Poussaint is also the coauthor of Raising Black Children and Lay My Burden Down.
