Richard Wiseman, 1966 geboren, studierte Psychologie und war anschließend an verschiedenen Universitäten tätig. Heute leitet er das Forschungszentrum der Psychologischen Fakultät an der Hertfordshire-University. 2005 war er Präsident der British Association for the Advancement of Science. Er hat bereits zahlreiche wissenschaftliche Arbeiten veröffentlicht und erhielt zahlreiche Preise und Auszeichnungen. Seine Bücher ›Machen, nicht denken!‹ und ›Wie Sie in 60 Sekunden Ihr Leben verändern‹ sind international große Bestseller. Im September 2015 erscheint im Fischer Taschenbuch ›SUPERSCHLAF.
