“Money is the #1 least suspected subject which troubles humanity and it is the #1 least explored subject of humanity.”

A man was abruptly awakened by his wife in the middle of the night. “It’s so cold in here! Can you run downstairs and check out the furnace?” He replied, “Sure, sweetheart.” He groggily got out of bed and went downstairs. First, he checked out the thermostat and saw that it was turned on. He felt warm air coming from the register, but the air was not hot. When he went to the furnace, he discovered that it was blowing warm air but the problem was that the air was not warm enough to heat the house.
Scratching his head for a moment, he decided to have a look at the schematic in an attempt to find the problem. He soon became frustrated and called the manufacturer because the unit was still under warranty. The man on the line tried to talk him through it, but he became more and more frustrated because he did not understand all of the symbols and the language. Perplexed, he explained, “The furnace is blowing out warm air; it’s just not enough to heat the house.” “Okay, okay, I will send over a technician,” said the manufacturer.
The tech arrived within the hour. Once he checked the thermostat, the homeowner led him to the furnace. The tech soon discovered that wires to two of the heating elements were disconnected. He connected the wires and explained, “Your home is designed to be heated with three heating elements. Two of them were not attached. So, because there was only one source of heat, your furnace became inadequate for your home. Although it was producing some heat, it was not enough to satisfy the thermostat. This made your furnace run nonstop trying to heat up space that it could not. Now that I have introduced two more sources of heat, your thermostat will soon become satisfied and your furnace will work less and finally be able to rest. You may be uncomfortable now, but in a few hours, you will be able to rest as well!”
I want you to know that this book is not about heating your home. It is, however, about what has happened to our personal, business and global economy. It shows how to set the process in motion to fix them. It is about why we are so uncomfortable in times we are supposed to be resting.
I have compiled many stories to provide illum-ination as to why and how we have gotten into this financial abyss in which we find ourselves. I hope that in understanding this particular story, you will feel encouraged to turn the page and continue reading, especially if it is describing you or your loved ones.
You have tried things the world’s way. Now I invite you to turn the page and try things God’s way. It is the way of His people. It is the way of the earth. It is the way of prosperity.

We have allowed others to interpret knowledge for us for far too long. This book is designed to take the invisible hooks out of the mouths of existing believers and potential newcomers to the Lord. We have been reeled into the boats of those whose desire for us is to satisfy their hunger. Many of us have been used as bait to bring others into these boats of captivity. These “fishermen of grief” have subtly lured many of us with bite-sized morsels, which we perceived to be answers to long-term hunger pains. Instead, we found snacks filled with hooks that were driven into our mouths and later yanked out once we were forced into their boat.
There have been billions of little fish throughout the centuries who have been rushed around the world and sold to associate venders who profit from their demise. Millions of others were and still are kept on the boat to work. These are given hooks that are purposely driven into their mouths and sent out from the boat in predetermined directions guided by unseen hooks. Their sole purpose is to play helpless victims in well-devised schemes to secure new, unsuspecting recruits.
This has been an endless cycle of dread for thousands of years. It has been going on for so long that it has become normal and acceptable.
When we think of ourselves as fish, it can be very startling to our consciences. We have given control to other fishermen by continuing to consider ourselves as members of the waters. This book is an attempt to restore sight to those who have become blind to the fact that we are, in fact, fishermen and were never intended to dwell in the water. We have allowed average fishermen to interpret how to be financially successful. Their explanation is that you find someone who has their own boat and work for them. The problem with this interpretation is the result. Of course that means they wind up doing the least amount of the work, which gives them freedom to come and go as they please. You in turn, perform most of the work, resulting in physical and emotional burnout. Coupled with this is the fact that all of your time is consumed with another person’s future. You become so involved in the other person’s financial development, that you never have time to focus on your own.
Many problems in the home today are caused by the amount of attention we give to someone else’s business. You bring your boss’ issues home, yell at your children and degrade your spouse. Meanwhile, your boss enjoys his/her family while on vacation in the Caymans. Most of us spend more time talking to our spouse about our boss than we do about what we can do for them or how their day was.
After you read this, you should have a new perspective on prosperity and dispel the misinter-pretation of it by wicked fishermen.
What is your interpretation of financial prosperity? In your opinion, what is God’s view on this subject? The answers to these and a host of other related questions heavily depend upon one’s ability to reason. This writing is predominantly intended for a mature audience; it is for those who possess the capacity to handle tough intellectual subjects such as this and their connection to life and business.
We will begin with the notion of “perceived value.” What may be considered valuable to one person may be viewed as worthless to another. We have all heard the expression, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” On one hand, we can surmise that someone had acquired something they believed was valuable. After extracting the most use of that item, they considered the remaining value inadequate for any further use to them. Therefore, because the standard for what is acceptable for them exceeds that of another, they give the item to someone else. That person will relish, appreciate and consume the remaining perceived value of that item.
Again, in the alternate view, the acceptor found adequate value in the item, which had formerly been labeled “useless.” Some would argue that the reason for this difference of thought is strictly economics. Many others would say that it is just a matter of self-worth. For all others, the response may simply be, “Who needs all that? I mean, I don’t want just anything; I guess I just want to be comfortable.”
Throughout this writing, we will use many stories, some of which will be Scriptural. We will use these stories to illuminate secrets in the Word of God for your success in life focusing primarily on business.
As we explore the following three different thought patterns, we can conclusively identify root causes of these effects. Although there are many reasons why people think the way they do, financially, we will unravel just a few.
The first thought pattern we will dissect will be of those who are always looking to receive things that have been discarded after much use from someone else. This mindset is the worst of the three because of its addictive nature. We all know individuals who are given things time, after time, after time. This action often paralyzes them from seeking the necessary skills and mental wherewithal to produce for themselves.

“Therefore, instead of adding to their mental capacity, most people begin to develop a spirit of reception, rather than a spirit of conquest.”
There are many changes that take place in the human body regardless of individuality. These constant changes are caused predominantly by the consistent consumption of food on a daily basis. One who consumes food three times a day will show significantly more growth than a person who eats only one-third of that same daily portion. So it is with a person who studies three times a day; he/she will be expected to know more than their counterpart who studies only one-third of the same information daily.
Secondly, let us examine individuals who just want to be “comfortable.” As the title of this chapter suggests, this mindset is like going from the county jail to a larger holding facility. We all are aware that poverty is the most common and subtle form of imprisonment. It restricts your movements, creates a barrier between you and your family, regulates the time and quality of your leisure, and decides what, when and where you will eat.
Why does it often happen when individuals obtain higher paying jobs, win the lottery, and/or inherit large sums of cash, they often wind up comfortable or even broke again? This is mainly because they have conditioned their minds so long at level one that level three seems to be something more than spectacular! They are still locked up; it is just not the same prison. Instead of getting out of the system (debt) entirely, they gather up all of their possessions and move to a larger prison. Their movements are still restricted, they obtain a little more room, they may see their family a little more, but they must soon return to pay their dues. They have a bigger yard to play in and the food tastes a little better.

“The problem with being just comfortable is the uncertainty of what ifs.”
Many uncomfortable people right now in the world were comfortable just several months ago. They laughed, had dinner parties at their homes, and had plenty of cash in the bank. Later, they were forced to acknowledge the harsh reality of false freedom and also discovered that they never left bondage. It was hard to recognize because the walls were prettier, the floors were shinier, and they seemed to move around unmonitored.
Now - the U.S., in particular, is looking for someone with “more than enough” to bail him or her out. “If we only had more jobs, more energy resources, more entrepreneurs, more people who live in abundance, etc!” they say.
Thirdly, let us discuss the thought pattern of those who acquire, utilize the most benefit, and then...discards something. The first thing we notice is that they acquire. This means they have the ability to produce; gathering what has not previously been used. Obviously, if something has value to someone before it is used, it also has value to those who are comfortable. That said, we could conclude that the one who obtained was not the only person seeking use of the item acquired. It can also be said, that not only must this person possess the ability to obtain, but also they must war with others who are like-minded.

“He who thinks as others has many competitors, but he who thinks more than others, has fewer competitors.”
For now, we will focus on why it is important for us to live in “overflow.”
In our vehicles, we keep spare tires, extra quarts of oil, gallons of coolant/antifreeze, and car jacks. We may not have current use for these extra items, yet we will spend precious resources on them “just in case.” We will take up much space in our cars to accommodate them. When it comes to our transportation, all three mind-sets seem to accept that these are important items to be kept. Why then do we not have the same idea of importance concerning our finances?
We can see how simple stories can help us gain dominance over seemingly huge obstacles rather than being controlled by them. We have been resting in the twelve hours we have been given for light and working in the twelve hours of darkness.
