DEDICATION
I dedicate this book to my sister, Dana. If not for your love and support during the most critical time in my life, this book would not have come to be. I’m the luckiest brother in the world, to have the best sister in the world, who listened to me when no one else did, put herself on the line, and showed true courage by following her heart.

TO THE READER
Dear Reader,
Yes, I’m talking to YOU!
First off, thank you for holding this book, and being willing to read it. I consider myself very fortunate to have the opportunity to have a book placed on the shelves, let alone for you to have wanted to take the time to read it.
For years, I’ve written in a journal. I’ve always found joy in documenting my life.
They say the pen is mightier than the sword. That phrase for me couldn’t be more true. The ability to write and document life is an amazing power that only us writers know.
Writing is the ability to truly create, and to make the imagintion tangible.
This book is a collection of all of my joys found in writings that I’ve accomplished since the year of 1995. It was in that year that I discovered how powerful the pen could be. I was in college, and my buddies and I would share poetry while in the local coffee shop. This poetry would express our laughs, our tears, and our overall school experiences. These poetry sessions would be a great exchange of thoughts and ideas that truly defined that time.
Later, I learned how great it was to write while alone in my living room, while on the school campus, on my break at work, and just about everywhere that allowed extra time to write even a paragraph. Writing turned into quite the addiction.
Literature has been a great journey for me, and I look forward to sharing that joyous journey with you.
Once again, thank you for your time and I hope you get as much out of this book as I did writing it.
Sincerely,
David Vozzy, MSEd
A PRAYER; PART I
Every time a prayer is said,
To that soul may I be led.
Until the Prayer’s answer is found,
To that Soul may I be bound.
A PRAYER; PART II
Peace, Harmony, Love, and Light
Shines through me with all its might.
A PRAYER; PART III
Peace, Harmony, Love, and Light,
Shines upon my soul this night.
It is within this realm of peace that I stay
Until I am released from sleep to the next day.
A CHARGE
There are many ways to get to the same place. Candles, incense, crystals, and more. They’re all the same. Prayers and affirmations are the same. They’ll all give you a charge of the Spirit.
LIFE
The life that you give others is the life that you get back.
ART
Art is the present moment with the stream of thought and feeling. Art is sacred. To create it, presence must be there. Therefore, true art is true presence.
WHEN BIRDS CHIRP
When birds chirp, light is heard.
Don’t utter a single word.
When a tree is seen,
Joy is seen as well.
Don’t look away.
Gaze inside, and listen to the sights.
Hear what the tree is saying.
What you see in nature
Is a beautiful masterpiece created by God.
Savor it, and enjoy it.
It is through that masterpiece that we can enter the true Kingdom of God.
A free invitation for us all.
ANOTHER LIFE
When your form retires, and when you die,
You simply begin another life.
Buddha and Jesus can testify to that one I’m sure.
HEAVEN ON EARTH
Heaven, Paradise, Nirvana, etc. does not have to be a place that you need to die to arrive at. It’s here, and it’s actually in the present moment. It’s the here and now, which always was, always is, and always will be.
It’s a new dimension.
To get there, you simply breathe and meditate.
