-Once-
Title: While The Light Still Lives
I have a notion to go for the win as dawn breaks, bathed in the purest of white light
The light I know will defeat a long and treacherous night
As for the coming problems I will rise through them and above
And I am certain they will be defeated by the purest form of love
There will always be time, with there being no delay
No one to speak that there will be no brighter day
There will always be time to find the right rhythm, or so I say
Ever an opportunity and it shall never be turned away
No regrets, nothing lost will be tomorrow and today
Everything accomplished with success in every way
It will be easy, there will be no fight
I'm sure love and positivity will always save the day
Everyone will always be around to share a laugh and drive the troubles away
I can't go wrong, I'll sing a happy song, and the rain will always fade away
There will always be plenty of hellos and no goodbyes
A place where merriment always reigns supreme, and through eternity I believe in death no one eternally lies
-Then-
Title: Twilight
As the sun sinks in the sky, I sit and stare amazed at a pale twilight
Maybe I was wrong, maybe there's no way to keep the light
Things that were kept in time have ceased to be right
In bitterness I have noticed the dusk turn to night
As I try to live it out I seem to have lost the key
To tame the beast that has recently now started following me
What I once could lead to success has now started to lead me only to dismay
I guess, there will be no success, at after all, making laughter stay
I turn around to my friend, that was with me in the light
He is now gone, I am forlorn, and it dawns on me that maybe things are not quite right
After the light has dimmed and the colors fade, they run and it's made clear
It's all falling down, light and love seems to have left me to drown, and I have to get out of here
I guess at some point it starts to be clear
All that you saw in the light is fool's gold everywhere
You may not be able to have what you once thought you could achieve
The only light left is the moonlight to show you that good things only eternally leave
Title: When The Cup Ran Dry
When the cup was drained
Nothing remained
When the cup ran dry
You said your final goodbye
When the hearse came
You had no one to blame
For your ruined life
Made only of sorrow and strife
At the Church the people wait
But the hearse is late
No one can believe your fate
After a sad life, sad goodbyes, no one can wait to evacuate
And yet here you are and here you stay
A sad affair on a sad looking day
Very dour and very grey
Which reflects your life; nothing ever goes your way
You're late for your big day
The day you're sent away
There are no more words you can say
Then it starts to rain and the people no longer stay
They scatter and they flee
Hours later the hearse takes away thee
To an unmarked grave
There's no one left to save
Your place in history
You could guess it was your destiny
To not only sunshine no longer see
To be alone in death, remembered no more indefinitely
Title: If You Can Bear It
Some say "don't let your troubles bother you," but I say "if you can bear it"
They say "smile when you are down," I say "if you can wear it"
They say "don't let your troubles drag you down"
I say "if you can help to not wear a frown"
Some say "don't let your troubles beat you up"
I say "with all your troubles, can you even supp?"
Because they are wearing on me
No one lets me be free
They say "don't let your troubles get to you"
I say "in regards to them I can hardly get through"
They say "don't let your troubles mean a thing"
Even though inside I'm dying
What they don't see is that some can't bear
The troubles that are always there
No peace will come
