I'm not a chef, I'm just a guy who likes to cook. I don't have any formal training which is why I think people like following my recipes. There's no cooking mumbo-jumbo and I've reduced the measuring to just simple amounts*: a handful, a spoonful, and an occasional cup or 1/4 cup. There's nothing you can't do.
Hopefully everyone can find 2 or 3 dishes they can make in a pinch. You don't have to be a culinary expert, just be able to make a quick meal when necessary. If you need suggestions try the Chicken Roll-ups on page 9 or the Chili on page 33. Those are good, no miss recipes that will come in handy many times throughout your life.
If you need more help, go to my website www.cookingfordads.net to see video versions of these recipes. I'll walk you through each step.
No matter what, enjoy the process and have fun. You'll be surprised how rewarding it is to make simple, healthy and popular food.
Cook well, it's worth it.

*a handful is about a 1/4 cup, a dry ingredient spoonful is about a tablespoon and a wet ingredient spoonful is about a teaspoon
