Author’s Preface

Every chapter in this book is a direct representation on what I’ve observed and what I’ve taken into consideration throughout my journey. As you know, there are a large quantity of people who possess negative traits such as laziness, procrastination, disorganization etc. This book is to exploit many shortcuts that you can take advantage of throughout life. These shortcuts are in short, a way to achieve greatness with little to no effort. As long as you remain consistent and are true to your goals, everything will fall into place. I encourage everyone to take note of the important life lessons that can be easily understood throughout this book. There are no hidden secrets but you’ll have to make smart choices.

I’ve found it much easier to accomplish goals by remaining focused on the bigger picture. Keeping your eye on the prize takes practice just like anything else. You’ll find that conditioning yourself into obtaining the ability to make things easier for yourself will give you exponential results. Doing this however may require you to foreshadow the steps that you plan to take in-order to keep yourself remaining progressive. Aim high, very high and never limit yourself. You can find different ways to make things easier by getting into the habit of setting things up ahead of time, saving time and money. When I say “setting things up ahead of time,” I’m referring to simplifying tasks that, with the lack of balance, would take more time and effort to conquer. For example, the way a mother prepares a diaper bag well before deciding to go out. The bag is already ready therefore your ability to make this decision before the fact makes it that much easier for you to continue with your plan without the feeling of having to complete a small task that otherwise could have been thoroughly handled already.

Planning more will eliminate unneeded efforts. At the end of the day, you can do it the easy way or the hard way. This is a great example for when they say “some work quicker than others.” Yes, some people have the ability to operate faster than the average, however you don’t need to be a genius to manipulate your reality by simply planning ahead of time. I find myself completing several tasks in layers that keep myself productive towards my goals on a daily basis all while remaining available for phone calls.

I am a family man but I am also a business man so I have developed the ability to follow my own prewritten scripts as well as being able to create one from scratch whenever it is needed. This particular skill consists of many other skills commonly referred to as; strategizing, time management, decision making, organization, communication, etc. This is much bigger than multitasking. Multitasking without the proper organization can actually lead yourself into a state of frustration while you try to figure out how to get back on track. Using these skills consistently with one another as part of your routine will help develop your skill level over a period of time. Again, some learn and can adapt quicker than others so there’s not really an exact measured time slot for your skills to reach that desired level. Like anything else, practice makes perfect.

After finding your understanding within each chapter you will be able to accurately make the adjustments needed to enter yourself into this world of ease.

Intro

Fulfillment

“The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus.”

-- Bruce Lee

What is success? Is it when you feel fulfilled? Is it just one generalized stage of happiness? Perhaps it’s simply something you experience each and every time you accomplish a goal. I believe you will meet disappointment and failure many more times in life if you go throughout life aiming to be a successful person rather than planning for success in everything you do. Although there are many different ideas of what success means, you may have to be more specific on what you’re asking yourself. Are you wondering what it means to be a successful individual? I think it depends on you as a person, what types of goals are you chasing? Are you more family oriented or are you a workaholic? Do you find yourself craving materialistic things or did you just want to be financially set to the point that you no longer need to work? Do you spend your time within a church or helping rescue animals? People are like snowflakes, all very very different in many different ways. It is up to you yourself to figure out what your goals are and to then take the right steps toward achieving those goals.

Creating a goal and working hard to reach it will be very hard and may seem never-ending without a strong set of skills and the will to push forward through obstacles. You can find it in you to build yourself the necessary skills that you don’t already possess but desire. Everyone starts somewhere, there are no excuses for your procrastination. Have a vision and seek it to be completed. Figuring out what goals are worth chasing after really depends on your situation. I’ve come to the understanding that life isn’t fair and you can’t rely on anyone or anything for anything at any given time. If you have the flexibility to set your eyes on goals that you want to achieve then your path is much easier. However, some people will have to face a bit of unsettling and undesired places of work and/or living to even get started on their journey towards success. It does not matter where you come from or your financial status. The key to creating a goal is determination and motive. There are tons of successful people who have started from literally nothing. If you ever feel as if your options are limited remember this, sometimes all it takes is an idea. That one idea can give you that motive to take action on that idea and accumulate spontaneous results with the right research and understanding. Look at J.K Rowling for example, or what about the feller who simply made a website called pizza.com and sold it for $2.8Million in 2008. Do some research and you’ll know your options are never truly limited.

With your goal intact you will now need to research what steps need to be taken to make progress towards the goal(s). To avoid slack or immediate failure you must understand how long it will take approximately to reach your goal. Is it long term or short term? Can it be accomplished while working on another goal at the same time? How can I make achieving this goal effortless? There are many different ways to find these answers if you don’t already have them. Take the time to research, ask questions and stay informed.

Your goals need to be realistic and if they are more farfetched you will need to have a strong will or a strong healthy support system. A strong support system can help push you through difficult times. Family and friends can assist you to stay on the path towards your goals merely out of their love and support. Surround yourself with positivity and try not to shy away from people who are willing to give you their upmost support. Support goes a long way, for some larger goals you may absolutely need support to continue such as nursing, law school or even mixed martial arts. In everything you do, you’ll need someone at some point for something even if it’s just morally supporting you. You must refrain yourself from denying the help from others especially when you need it. There is nothing wrong with accepting help or hearing out the opinions of others. At the end of the day you make the decisions so why not have more options to consider while making your decision to ensure you make the best one. This exchange goes both ways, “You scratch my back, I scratch yours.” Helping others will result in relationships that can bring you much further than you could ever imagine. Literally from nothing to something great, like Dr. Dre and Eminem.

You can be successful in someone else’s eyes but it’s more important for you to feel it yourself. What do you think success really means? Well, from the dictionary, the definition for success is the achievement of something desired, planned or attempted. This means that the word success is so broad that anything you have achieved through planning and desire is considered reaching success. I doubt you grabbed ahold of this book to settle with that so carry on to understanding what success really is.

Yes, success can be divided into many areas. For instance, it can be time based, career focused, a financial status, health wise, spiritual, emotional, relationship oriented, etc. To find out the real meaning of success, you will have to dig deep into your heart and ask yourself exactly what it is that you seek throughout this life. You have to know where your interests lie. Find out your strengths and weaknesses so you can use that knowledge to better yourself, avoiding obstacles saving yourself time and frustration. Remember this fact, success is a journey, not a destination. I notice a large amount of people see success as an end and treat it as a result. After each goal is completed, I feel accomplished, not successful. Success doesn’t seem to have an end unless you have reached a stage where you are comfortable enough to take it easy on yourself from there on out.

Instead of taking a free styling route towards your success you may want a prewritten script to give you a better idea or a greater understanding on how to achieve your goals. There’s a formula called “The Ultimate Success Formula” and the words say it all. With it, you can achieve anything you’ve ever wanted in your life. It is a simple method that anyone can practice to achieved desired results, however it is also so simple that many people do not do it. Basically, the ultimate success formula can be divided into four steps.

Believing It Before Achieving It

The first thing you need to do is start from your mind. You have to first believe that it is possible for you to achieve the success you seek. If you do not believe in it, it will be much more difficult for you to achieve it. It is very clear, your belief is only real to you, if you believe that you can you shall. It’s literally that simple. If you believe you are someone who is hardworking, then you are. However, this concept can counteract itself and manifest into something bad if you are not true to yourself. For example, people who often say they are broke and they can’t ever get a break. These people have the same amount of opportunity as anyone else however the difference is the lack of will power and the lack of confidence. You will see how these two attributes can take you a long way.

Seek the positive energy and avoid any negative energy at all costs. Even if you need to start cutting people out of your life who carry that negative energy with them, it can rub off on you and interfere with your journey in a negative way. This is why they say, “be careful who you surround yourself with.” This may be easier to understand if you have or have had a close friend or family member that you can relate this to. Have you ever found yourself saying, thinking or doing similar things that your friends have at the same time? This is because you two have been so accustomed to each other’s style that you’ve sort of rubbed a bit of yourselves off on each other. If you surround yourself with negative energy such as drama and fighting, you will be more likely to have to deal with this negative energy that can be hard to escape from. Surround yourself with go getters, hustlers, people who work hard and are honest. This may be one of the best choices I have made in my life. Be who you want to be, not what people expect you to be based on your surroundings.

Maintaining a Goal

If there is one thing that can make you successful, that thing is goal setting. Goal setting is very important if you plan on achieving the things you want or need. You should write down your dreams and your goals big and small. You don’t have to be fancy and create an entire “dream board” however you can if you’d like. I like to keep things quick and simple, which is how I have reached the ability to achieve continuously. I don’t overdo it. I use a simple notepad on my smart phone to store all my goals as well as my tasks. I simply erase them as they are completed. Get in the habit of using your notes as an act of writing things down so you can make sure you handle them at your earliest convenience. I even take advantage of taking a screenshot of emails or messages so I don’t make the mistake of forgetting something that needs to be done. You can do the same, it is very easy.

A lot of people underestimate what goals can do for them. Setting a goal and remembering you have a goal you are in the progress of achieving help keep you focused on your path. You can look at a goal such as obtaining a job entry position as a small goal or you can look at it as a pathway to a larger goal which could be opening your own company similar, or achieving a better way of living in general. Get the most out of your achievements. You should use each achievement as either a reminder or a stepping stone on your path to success and you will do great. Life is a journey, you choose the paths you take, and the possibilities are endless. Setting yourself goals will drive you into taking massive and continuous action. Think about it, when you are procrastinating and you remember or see your goals physically written down, will you take action? Most of the time you will and this is why goal setting is so important. You will become focused and driven into taking action toward reaching your goals.

Take Action
